Since its inception in 2017, Block and Bridle Veterinary Service Christmas Charity has helped hundreds of families and children in Weld County. By partnering with the United Way and A Woman's Place, we are able to provide a glimmer of happiness and joy to countless families during the holiday season.
In Weld County alone, 1 in 3 residents are food insecure while a staggering 13% of children are food insecure. This means that nearly 115,000 people in our county do not know where their next meal is coming from. At Block and Bridle, we feel that it is incumbent upon us to support those in our community that are in need of a "hand up" not a "hand out."
The goal of Block and Bridle Christmas Charity is to provide joy to families at Christmas while reducing the burdens of daily life. Clothing, household goods, rent and utilities support, infant furniture, games, toys, and even Christmas Dinner are just some of the gifts donated in the past. From socks to a family computer, no gift is ever too small!
