Dr. Rebecca Hendricks was born and raised in Colorado. Having grown up around horses, both in the show arena and on a family ranch, Dr. Hendricks realized from a young age that equine medicine was her passion. Since its inception, she worked as a veterinary assistant for Dr. Gaddis at Block and Bridle. In 2005, she obtained a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University in Equine Science. In 2009, Dr. Hendricks graduated from the top-ranked Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. Upon graduation, she completed an intensive rotating surgical internship at Oakridge Equine Clinic in Edmond, Oklahoma. Since 2010, Dr. Hendricks has been an associate veterinarian at Block and Bridle. In an effort to provide more complete patient care, Dr. Hendricks returned to school in 2016 and 2019 to obtain certification in veterinary chiropractic and veterinary medical acupuncture, respectively.
With a passion for lameness and multimodal therapy, Dr. Hendricks utilizes a wide range of treatment modalities to achieve peak performance in her equine patients. Dr. Hendricks believes that addressing all aspects of health, wellness, and behavior are crucial to maintenance of equine athletes; it is her goal to maximize the performance and quality of life for all patients. Countless hours of yearly continuing education are obtained to achieve this goal.
When not managing patients, Dr. Hendricks enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She shares her home in Briggsdale with her husband, Mike, son, Kaige, dog, PJ, and three horses.
