Dr. Ryan de Kay hails from Katy, Texas where he received his bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science from the distinguished Texas A&M University in 2009. After graduation, Dr. de Kay was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He served on active duty for eight years with multiple combat deployments. While stationed in Camp Pendleton, California he met his wife, Sarah. After completing his tour in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina he transitioned to the Marine Corps Reserves and moved to Colorado. In 2021, Dr. de Kay completed a master's degree in Epidemiology at Colorado State University and a farrier internship at Wyoming School of Horseshoeing. Two years later, he graduated from the distinguished Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. de Kay became and associate at Block and Bridle Veterinary Service in 2023.
Dr. de Kay takes pride in being a perpetual learner. Whether attending esteemed continuing education seminars or collaborating with colleagues, he understands that medicine is ever- evolving. With a passion for building client relationships, Dr. de Kay enjoys building the practice by engaging with new clientele.
In his fleeting spare time, Dr. de Kay can be found fly fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. With a passion for service, he continues to serve in the Marine Corps Reserves. Dr. de Kay shares his home in Carr with his wife, two daughters, and menagerie of animals.
