Quality, compassionate care for horses.

Esmeralda is a true Colorado native.  Born into a horse-loving family in Denver, Esmeralda grew up in the horse racing industry.  Her desire to help others and impact lives led her to nursing school in 2018.  While nursing at Northern Colorado Medical Center, her passion for horses never diminished and she decided to go back to school to pursue a veterinary career.  In 2021, Esmeralda moved to Virginia with her family to train racehorses.  Back in Colorado, Esmeralda continues her pursuit of veterinary school while nursing, helping to train horses, and being a full time mom.

As a Spanish speaking bilingual assistant, Esmeralda is an asset to the Block and Bridle team.  With a wealth of animal and industry knowledge, Esmeralda ensures that all clients receive high quality care.

Esmeralda shares her passion for horses with her husband, Edwin, and two children, Emilio and Ezequiel.  In addition to a barn full of racehorses, Esmeralda has three dogs and more chickens than she can count!
