Born and raised in Colorado, Leah Ouellette has had animals in her life as long as she can remember.  Since 2010, Leah has been working as a veterinary assistant in Colorado.  Prior to working at Block and Bridle in 2018, she was a veterinary assistant for an ophthalmologist and for a mixed animal veterinarian.  Her diverse experience as an assistant makes Leah an asset to our veterinary team.  In 2014, Leah graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science.  After years of dedication to veterinary medicine, Leah obtained her official certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2023.

With a passion for animals and strong work ethic, Leah is crucial to the Block and Bridle team.  From facilitating patient communication to assisting in surgical procedures, Leah ensures that your animals receive the highest level of care while at Block and Bridle.

When not ensuring efficiency at work, Leah can usually be found outdoors.  From learning to ride horses in Westernaires as a child to team sorting as an adult, Leah is happiest when horseback.  Leah shares her Briggsdale home with her husband, Chance, four dogs, and five horses.
